College Street is a unique medieval terraced stone townhouse offering luxury self catering accommodation located in the heart of St Andrews in Scotland and only a few steps from the town centre. The house was carefully restored to 21st century standards in 2006 to give the comfort of today’s living but still maintaining the charm of old. This is a deceptively spacious house with the living space is spread over 3 floors and features generously sized rooms, full of light the house has a general feeling of spaciousness throughout.

There are many features kept within the house, reminding you of the age of the building, the main feeling of this is when you enter the dining room and the courtyard leading from this room. The sheltered courtyard, a feature not found in many properties in the town centre, features a gargoyle which was removed from St. Andrew Cathedral after the Reformation. The St. Andrews Preservation Trust believes the section of the house was built around 1830 – 1850. College Street links North Street and Market Street, two medieval streets of St. Andrew’s.

In 1450 St. Salvator’s College and Chapel were founded by Bishop James Kennedy. St. Salvator’s clock tower, which can be seen from the top floor bedroom, is only ½ a block’s walk from the house on the cobbled, pedestrian College Street.

A few minutes walk away is the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the St Andrews Links Trust which gives access to the 6 golf courses, including the famous Old Course, and practise range.

Whatever you reason for visiting St Andrews you can be assured of a friendly welcome and relaxing stay.
